On July 1, 2025, Mr. Roland Reiland, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to China, Ms. Tania Berchem, Consul General of Luxembourg in Shanghai and Executive Director of the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office, along with Ms. Pan Ying, Deputy Director of the Business Office, visited the GONVVAMA Loudi factory for an on-site inspection and exchange. GONVVAMA's CEO Billy Ma, CTO Yannick Yin, CMO Paul Vivet, and Loudi factory manager Brian Yi warmly welcomed them and accompanied them throughout the visit.
That afternoon, the delegation visited the production workshop of GONVVAMA's Loudi factory to gain a detailed understanding of the company's core technologies and innovative capabilities in automotive parts manufacturing. As an industry leader, GONVVAMA has continuously achieved breakthroughs in producing high-strength white-body components and applying advanced processes. During the visit, the delegation thoroughly examined the production equipment, workflow, and key products. Billy Ma, Yannick Yin, and Paul Vivet provided comprehensive presentations from the perspectives of technical research and development, market application, and factory operations, respectively, leading to in-depth exchanges and discussions between both parties.
Ambassador Roland highly praised the innovations and developments of VAMA and GONVVAMA in the automotive steel sector. He pointed out that ArcelorMittal's sustained investment in technological innovation over the years has laid a solid foundation for the company. With the rapid development of the new energy vehicle market in China, VAMA and GONVVAMA have quickly gained application among leading companies in the new energy vehicle sector, driving the production of lighter, safer, and more environmentally friendly vehicles. The ambassador also expressed admiration for GONVVAMA's exceptional safety record of zero lost work hours since the establishment of its Loudi factory nine years ago.
In addition, the ambassador gained a detailed understanding of several types of Yujian™ multi-part integrated products produced by GONVVAMA in Loudi, including door rings, floor-integrated components, and sunroof rings. The Loudi factory, which started with test materials and sample production, has expanded through three phases to become a modern manufacturing base capable of producing various types of laser welding multi-part integrated products.
To express gratitude for the visit of the Luxembourg Embassy delegation, GONVVAMA CEO Billy Ma and GONVVAMA CTO Yannick Yin presented Mr. Roland Reiland and Ms. Tania Berchem with a miniature double-door ring figurine, symbolizing continuous innovation, outstanding quality, and mutual development.
After the visit, both parties held a discussion meeting. Chairman Cheng Peixiang, on behalf of VAMA and GONVVAMA, warmly welcomed the visit of the Luxembourg ambassador. Ambassador Roland expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to inspect, stating that the on-site visit gave him a deeper understanding of GONVVAMA's technological strengths and operational management, as well as a sense of the company's proactive spirit in industrial innovation. He mentioned that Luxembourg has achieved national prosperity through its steel industry, and Loudi is also advancing toward urban prosperity driven by the steel sector. VAMA and GONVVAMA continue to push the limits of automotive steel applications, demonstrating strong innovation capabilities. The ambassador emphasized that this visit aims to listen, collaborate, and provide support for promoting the green transformation of the steel industry.
